The Middle East Karting Cup comes to Sharm El Sheikh

The new speed championship Ghibli Speed Challenge will be organized on July 9-11, 2009 at Ghibli Raceway International Track in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt. It is expected that more than 40 drivers from Egypt, Libya and Greece will participate in the championship to choose the best speed driver in Egypt.
Ghibli Speed Challenge is organized under the auspices of Major General Mohamed Hany Metwalli, Governor of South Sinai, and the Egyptian Federation of Motor Sports (one of the National Sports Council of Egypt (NSC) in addition to the supervision of the Automobile and Touring Club of Egypt (ATCE) and the official representative of the International Federation of Motor Sports (FIA). Such assistance has been provided due to the belief in the importance of supporting and developing Motor Sports in Egypt in addition to enhance the image of sports and tourism-associated activities and events in the country. The car categories that will participate in the event are the following: 1) Stock Cars: a) < 1300 cc b) 1300 cc - 1600 cc c) 1600 cc - 2000 cc d) > 2000 cc 2) Modified cars: a) < 2000 cc b) > 2000 cc 3) Super Sports cars
